I'm Mehmet Kerim Erden. I love researching, learning, and creating in technology, electronic systems, and communications. Since childhood, I've always been fascinated by understanding how devices work, deciphering the workings of mechanical systems, and exploring the logic of electronic circuits. Over time, this interest has evolved from a hobby into a fundamental aspect of my life.
My interest in electronics led me to amateur radio. For me, amateur radio was more than just a means of communication; it was a field of science where I could observe the behavior of electromagnetic waves and gain practical experience with frequencies and modulations. This gave me the opportunity to test my theoretical knowledge in the field and gain a deeper understanding of global communication culture.
In my radio work, I analyze antenna efficiency, wave propagation, and signal strength by comparing the characteristics of different frequency bands (HF, VHF, UHF). I also work on modern communication methods, such as digital communication modes, signal transmission via the International Space Station, radio programming, and data transfer.
On the hardware side, I develop communication-based projects using microcontroller platforms like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. These projects focus on sensor-based data collection, remote control systems, automation, and signal processing. Some of the systems I develop also include control mechanisms for use in flight simulations or remotely operated vehicles.
I've made the engineering approach central to my life. A fundamental principle for me is not just solving a problem, but also correctly analyzing it, understanding its cause, and redesigning it with a more efficient system. I believe scientific thinking should be applied not only in the laboratory but also in everyday life.
In this blog, I share my experiences in the worlds of amateur radio, electronics, and engineering, as well as my research into new technologies. My goal is to improve myself and others by sharing knowledge. Because technology gains meaning when shared, and science advances when discussed.
